The Work Around Podcast #EDUTangent

Wow. My 2nd blog post... WELCOME! Maybe one of these days I'll find the time to write more!

I've been blown away by the support I've received in creating The Work Around Podcast! Frankly, I didn't expect for anyone to want to listen to me talk, but for reasons unbeknownst to me, that has not been the case. Thank you so much for listening and being involved with the show- it means a lot to me!

One of my favorite parts has been having the opportunity to work with teachers who I look up to and have learned a lot from in order to produce EDU Tangent Episodes, which are autobiographical accounts of an individual's teaching career.

I'm looking for people who would like to share their stories on an EDU Tangent episode- this could be about how they became teachers, important lessons they've learned, funny stories or even why they decided to quit teaching. All of these perspectives and voices are significant, and I want to give them a platform.

If this is something you might be interested in doing, please fill out the Google Form below and I'll contact you ASAP! Filling out the form is by no means a commitment on your part, but will open a dialogue between us to figure out if it would be a good fit for us to collaborate on an episode.

Also, if you know of a teacher who you would like to see (or I guess, hear) on the show, please pass on the URL to this post!

Wouldn't it  be cool if we could get teacher celebrities on the show? I've found that the best way to do this is by bugging them on social media! Wouldn't it be cool to have somebody like Matt Miller discussing things that aren't DITCH That Textbook related, like the funniest stories from his teaching career? (By the way, if you haven't read DITCH That Textbook, you seriously should!)

If you are selected to record for the podcast, I will send you information about what I'm looking for. I try to make the process as simple as possible for guests.

If you have any further questions about this, please feel free to contact me via email ( or by DM on Twitter or Instagram (I prefer to do "business" stuff like this off of the feed so that podcast listeners will be surprised by what's coming!)

Thanks in advance- you rock!
